Tubal Ligation Reversal - Returning to Normalcy from Ligation

Tubal ligation is a form of contraception adopted by women. It's carried out in a surgical procedure that involves the tying up/ cutting off of the fallopian tubes as a temporary means to prevent conception. However, when you wish to terminate this condition you need to undergo tubal reversal, another surgical procedure that involves the untying of the tubes to permit conception again. This procedure is known as tubal ligation reversal too.

For tubal reversal to be possible there are certain pre-conditions. Firstly, the tubes should be healthy and should not have been totally removed and age should be in your favor. Secondly, your partner's sperms must be healthy and the sperm-count must be adequate. If these conditions are met then specialists can carry out tubal ligation reversal as an outpatient surgical procedure. Otherwise IVF is recommended in most cases as an alternative. However, the success rate of conception following a ligation reversal could be as high as 70%.

In Vitro Fertilization- Success Rates & Cost

In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the most effective and successful medical procedures for helping couples conceive. For those with difficulty in conceiving naturally, IVF provides a new ray of hope.

About IVF cost
Most of us lack adequate knowledge about the process. We also worry about IVF cost and often keep away from opting for the procedure. This is unfortunate as IVF has, over the years, become very affordable and safe.

IVF is probably the most well known of the "Assisted Reproductive Technologies." Originally popularized as "test tube baby," IVF has helped couples overcome infertility for more than two decades. IVF, which was initially developed to treat tubal factor infertility, has evolved to become the treatment of choice for many other causes of infertility including: unexplained infertility, male factor infertility, immunologic problems and others.

About IVF success rates
IVF success rates are very high and when one chooses to undergo the procedure under the supervision of a trained surgeon, there is actually little to worry about.

Is IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) expensive?

Tubal Reversal and In vitro fertilization are the latest proven techniques that are known to result in successful pregnancies and delivery of babies. Across the world, millions of childless couples have resorted to these techniques to have healthy babies that have brought smiles and happiness in their lives. While tubal reversal is known to reverse the effects of tubal ligation process thereby redeeming the fertility of a woman, the In vitro fertilization is the only way out if tubal legation reversal is not the right solution for the patient. It helps those women to enjoy the joys of motherhood, who were unable to conceive for myriad reasons.

However, there are still many who are shy of trying out these methods thinking that they are prohibitively expansive. While it is true that fertility treatments including the Tubal reversal and IVF are on the higher side of the cost scale due to being highly sophisticated in nature, but significant improvement in technology has also brought down the costs considerably. Especially in IVF or In vitro fertilization, the increasing accuracy of each attempt has ensured that prospective parents have to spend less than ever before.
