Gestational surrogacy - one more option

As a large number of couples have found them to be unable to reproduce children, there is a huge array of alternatives available for such couples. The best and admired alternative is that of gestational surrogacy. The main reason behind people being unaware of this alternative is that it is a relatively new technique that began in the 1980s.

Talking about the exact definition of surrogacy, it is an assisted reproduction technique in which a woman allows to become pregnant but need others to look after and raise the child. Gestation surrogacy a type of surrogacy in which the willing mother becomes pregnant with the help of embryo implantation.

The entire process involved in this gestational surrogacy involves egg production, preparation of the uterus for proper implantation, egg retrieval and embryo transfer. About 2 weeks after the embryo transfer, the carrier needs to take a test of blood pregnancy. In case it is positive, the fertility clinic will monitor the woman for several more days before actually discharging to her own obstetrician.
