Tubal Transfer Treatment

Inability to conceive can be a heart-breaking situation for couples as everyone wants to have children of his or her own. Thankfully, with the development of several medical procedures, infertile couples can realize their dreams of having a healthy baby.

Besides much-popular In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), there are other similar tubal transfer procedures that can provide satisfying results for needy couples. Tubal transfer treatment includes gamete intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT), zygote intra-fallopian transfer (ZIFT), or tubal embryo transfer (TET). Let us know about them in brief:

In a GIFT procedure, retrieved eggs and sperm are combined together and then transferred into one or both fallopian tubes. In a ZIFT procedure, fertilization takes place in the laboratory and when embryos became a day old, they can be transferred into the fallopian tubes. In a TET procedure, usually day-two embryos are transferred into the fallopian tubes through a surgical procedure known as laparoscopy.
